funfact: this soundscape was constructed entirely from the sounds from my train journeys to and from college. The breaks, the doors opening, the soft grinding of the wheels on the track through the floor all sampled through my iPhone XS and made noise.
i wanted to make it so blown out partly because i don't really know how to remove sounds i don't like and the best way to do that in noise is to crank the levels of the ones you do all the way up.
the train home was a short trip. no more than ten minutes. after a day of stress at school, only to stress about coursework, i had no real decompression. i felt like i was trapped in a metal tube for 5-8 minutes before i made the two-minute pseudo-run to my abode.
the high compression and physicality in the noise is reflective of how i felt in that train. the breaks a sign of decompression, that i could untense everything.
